Adoption Process

The cost of our puppies is $3,300 + 6.25% MA state tax, regardless of size, color or gender

  • The first step is to complete an application. Please be as specific as possible as to what you are looking for in your future puppy (energy level, color, size, sex, lifestyle needs) Lifestyle information will help us to determine which puppy is the best fit for your family so please be as specific as you can!

  • We will contact you on receipt of your application. This is an acknowledgement and not a guarantee you will receive a puppy in the next litter.

  • When our review is complete, we will schedule a time to talk. It is important to ensure we are a good fit! This is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to ask any questions you may have about our program.

  • We accept 4 reservations per litter until a pup count has been determined. Once your application is approved, we require a $250 reservation fee.

  • Applications received after the initial 4 have been filled will go on a waitlist. If our puppy count exceeds 4, we will schedule time to talk as noted above.

  • When the pregnancy is confirmed, we will request you place your non-refundable $500 deposit (minus the reservation fee if applicable) through Good Dog, Venmo, or Zelle.

  • When the puppies are born you will receive a birth announcement followed by weekly emails with updates, pictures, FAQ’s, suggestions, etc. You can also view your puppies on Facebook and Instagram as we update every 1 - 2 weeks.

  • When the pups are 6 weeks old, we will schedule a virtual visit. At this time we will ask you to let us know your top 3 choices and your final payment is due.

  • Between 7 - 8 weeks puppies will have a wellness exam by our licensed veterinarian.

  • At 7 weeks, the puppies will undergo temperament testing by our certified trainer using Volhard’s Puppy Aptitude Testing (PAT). Puppies are then allocated to families based on our recommendations and families input. While we attempt to match to your preferred color and gender, there may be times when the pup with the best temperament for your family is not your preference. If you prefer to pick your own pup based on gender and color, we are not the breeder for you.

  • Puppies will be ready to go home when they turn 8 weeks old. We do not ship our puppies, they are picked up in person. Arrangements can be made to meet you at either Boston Logan International Airport or Manchester-Boston Regional Airport for an additional fee.

Puppy pick-up will be by appointment only. We will do our best to accommodate your family’s schedule.

  • In the event that you are not able to pick up your puppy on the scheduled date a $25.00 a day fee will be charged to cover boarding expenses up to 7 days.

  • Draycot Meadows accepts up to 4 reservations per liter and reserves first right to retain breeding quality puppies for our breeding program from any of our litters.

Visitations

As much as we would enjoy visiting with everyone who is interested in meeting our Australian Labradoodles, it’s just not safe or possible. Young puppies are very susceptible to disease, and they deserve all the protection we can reasonably provide them. We raise our pups in the middle of our family home, therefore we are not open to the public for visits. If you have a reservation on an upcoming litter, you will have the opportunity to meet the parents (that live here) when you pick up your puppy.

Thank you for understanding and allowing us to put the safety, health and well-being of your puppy as our greatest priority.
